Sanitation

Proper sanitation is essential to the prevention of disease. Without electricity electric motors don’t work to pump water, operate sewage treatment plants and oil refineries for producing fuel for garbage trucks. Accumulating garbage is the breeding grounds for rodents; rats and mice. Both carry disease. They must be killed to prevent them  from entering the shelter where humans live. Sanitary requirements include:

  • long term proper disposal of human waste
  • personal hygiene with limited water
  • stock piles of soap and cleaning supplies
  • cleaning clothing, bedding, the shelter with limited water and heat
